A slender slab holds fifty four columns of cast blocks on guide rails, raised and lowered by the crown gantries. Nothing burns, nothing wears out, nothing leaves the frame.
Surplus power becomes altitude.
When wind and solar overproduce, the hoists draw that surplus and park the weights at the crown. Charged means high.
Gravity answers in under a second.
On demand, the weights descend under full control and drive the reversible motor-generator. Power electronics respond in milliseconds; the grid feels it immediately.

A step-up substation and transmission lines carry the output to the grid, firming renewables around the clock.
